Acute Stroke & Neurological Ward (4A)
Ward 4A provides specialised care for patients experiencing acute stroke, neurological disorders, and complex neurological conditions. It is a 32 bed ward consisting of 6 dedicated stroke unit beds and 26 general medical beds.
Cardiorespiratory/CCU (4B)
Ward 4B delivers high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic cardiac and respiratory conditions. It is a 36 bed ward consisting of 6 dedicated beds for CCU and 30 high acuity medical beds with a cardiac and respiratory focus.
Acute Medical Ward/MAU (4C)
Ward 4C cares for a diverse patient cohort with a wide variety of acute medical conditions. It is a 36 bed ward consisting of 10 dedicated beds for MAU and 26 general medical beds.
Oncology/Haematology & Palliative Care Ward (6C)
Ward 6C predominately cares for oncology patients and patients requiring end of life care. It is a 30 bed ward.
Medical/Geriatric Care Ward (6D)
Ward 6D is an acute medical ward with a focus on geriatric care including the management of older patients with complex medical needs. It is a 30 bed ward.
Day Medical Unit
The Day Medical Unit provides ambulatory oncology and haematology services, including the administration of anti-cancer therapies, supportive treatments, and patient education. The Unit operates Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm (no shift work or night duty).
Dialysis Unit
Our purpose-built Dialysis Unit has 12 treatment spaces delivering haemodialysis to day patients as well as our Intensive and Critical Care Unit. Hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, 6.30am-10pm with no on-call requirement.
About The Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
Deliver evidence-based nursing care within a supportive team environment.Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient careCommunicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.Advocate for patient safety and quality care outcomes.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and clinical excellence.Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.Support and mentor junior staff and students where appropriate.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
