An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist to join the Allied Health team at Portland District Health.
The Grade 3 Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of Occupational Therapy within a designated clinical case load providing evidence-based occupational therapy services across the acute, subacute, outpatient, aged care, and community-based settings within Portland District Health. You support the development of clinical and leadership skills in staff placed under your responsibility such as junior occupational therapy staff, allied health assistants and occupational therapy students.
You contribute to the quality, safety and risk management programs for the clinical unit/department You contribute to an environment that is conducive to deliver the four quality goals which are focused on putting the consumer first in everything we do.
About You
Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and holds a current registration.At least 7 years’ experience relevant to Occupational Therapy in an Inpatient / Outpatient setting and a demonstrated high level of contemporary practice and principles and evidenced based models for Inpatient / Outpatient Occupational Therapy Service delivery.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe consumer focused care, providing a high level of specialist knowledge.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with highly developed skills in organisation, time management, planning and priority setting.Current registration with SWEP (Statewide Equipment Program) prescriber and or geat2go
