AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. How you will create an impact

You will be part of a team of Underwriters that have responsibility across a panel of brokers to maintain and build the relationship as well as the portfolio of business.  You will underwrite the A&H suite of products including, Corporate Travel, Group PA, Voluntary Workers and Journey.

Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:

• Working closely with the Southern Region Manager and Head of Corporate A&H Australia to manage all aspects of our broker partners including underwriting, referrals, profitability, budgeting, UAT, system training, renewal strategy and distribution strategy.
• Possessing the necessary Insurance experience to be able to assist in the underwriting and managing a number of scheme & online portfolios.
• Achieve agreed new business, renewal retention and loss ratio targets
• Increase market share & renewal retention through key broker visitations and establishing relationships with key internal/external stakeholders

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience in Insurance underwriting and managing a broker portfolios
• Strong account management skills with a proven track record of developing solid internal and external customer relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior presentation, interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills
• Sound understanding of the insurance industry and underwriting appetites
• Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
