About the Role:

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader – Service to join our Engineering team at our Bella Vista office.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Operations Director, you will provide engineering leadership and technical support across our Service Division. You will work closely with our Service teams to deliver engineering solutions, quality assurance, compliance, certification and continuous improvement initiatives while mentoring engineers and driving best practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC Engineer looking to step into a leadership role with significant influence across engineering, compliance and operational performance.

What will I be doing:

• Lead engineering support across the Service, Minor Works and Residential teams
• Prepare and review engineering designs, calculations and technical documentation
• Provide value engineering solutions that improve commercial outcomes and system performance
• Review consultant designs and workshop drawings for compliance and constructability
• Provide engineering certification and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code
• Support Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) processes and essential services compliance
• Conduct engineering site inspections and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery
• Develop and maintain engineering quality assurance systems and procedures
• Identify opportunities for sustainable building upgrades, building tuning and engineering improvements
• Deliver technical training and mentoring to Engineers, Graduates and Service teams
• Support business development through technical advice and engineering expertise
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders
• Champion continuous improvement, innovation and engineering best practice

About You:

You are an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong technical capability and a passion for developing people and improving engineering outcomes.

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum 4 years' experience within the Australian HVAC industry
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and mechanical building services
• Experience with HVAC design, engineering calculations and system compliance
• Sound understanding of Green Star, NABERS, PCA Grade Guidelines, AIRAH, CIBSE and ASHRAE
• Membership with Engineers Australia (or eligibility)
• National Engineering Register (NER) registration, or willingness to obtain
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), or commitment to achieve during employment
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
