About the role
Position overview
Judicial Registrars support Judges in facilitating the just resolution of general federal law proceedings as quickly, inexpensively and efficiently as possible and play a key role in achieving the Court’s objectives by:
Key responsibilities and duties
Delegated judicial functions
This role is suitable for lawyers at senior associate level or above with substantial civil litigation experience. A minimum of 5 years’ post-admission experience is expected.
The successful applicant will be expected to be willing to undertake the necessary course and assessment modules to obtain accreditation, as arranged by the Court (unless they are already an accredited mediator). Applicants who are accredited as a mediator, or experience in conducting or participating in mediations, will be considered favourably. For suitable applicants, the Court will consider candidates who presently do not reside in Perth but are willing to relocate.
