About the role
In this specialist role with Central Queensland’s Blood Borne Virus and Sexual Health Service, you’ll lead complex contact tracing, guide critical clinical decisions and equip healthcare professionals across the region to respond with confidence.
From local clinics and Aboriginal Medical Services to community organisations and correctional health, your work will connect the right people, information and action before it’s too late. You’ll use research and fresh thinking to strengthen how CQ prevents and responds to STI and BBV transmission. The Blood Borne Virus and Sexual Health Service (BBV&SH) provides specialised sexual health and blood borne virus care across Central Queensland, based in Rockhampton. The service offers screening, diagnosis, treatment, education and health promotion, with a focus on supporting people and communities who may face greater risk due to health, behavioural or social factors.
Our specialist teams provide holistic medical and nursing care, treatment, education and ongoing support for people living with HIV and viral hepatitis, working closely with families, healthcare providers and community organisations. Care is delivered through local clinics, integrated services and telehealth, including an in-reach service to Capricornia Correctional Centre.
About the role:Total monthly remuneration value of up to $7,258 p.m. is comprised of:
