Operations Co-ordinator

Horizon Airways operates a flight training school in Mackay and Cloncurry plus a fixed wing charter business servicing communities in the far north / western Queensland and Torres Strait. We currently have a variety of single and multi-engine aircraft based in Mackay, Cloncurry, Cairns, Innisfail and Horn Island.

Due to our charter business expanding, we are seeking an Operations Co-ordinator who will be responsible for quoting and scheduling the company’s charter bookings as well as liaising with corporate and private customers.

This is a full-time salary position based at our hangar office in Innisfail Queensland with a salary of $70,000 including super. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

As Operations Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for:

·       Providing charter quotes to corporate and private customers in a timely manner by email or phone using our internal quoting software.

·       Scheduling the successful quotes into our bookings software as well as liaising with Chief Pilot and staff pilots.

·       Sales invoicing and recording of payments through MYOB as well as following up payments with customers.

·       Responding to inquiries from customers by email or phone.

·       Handling and rescheduling charter bookings due to customer changes, aircraft maintenance, schedule / weather delays or cancellations, which includes liaising with customers and staff pilots to reach a compromise.

·       Providing relevant information about charter bookings as requested by the management team.
