Casual Position with the Opportunity to Progress to Full-Time

Location: Woolner, Darwin NT

Form Function Wardrobes has been designing, manufacturing and installing custom wardrobes and sliding doors throughout Darwin for many years. We are known for quality workmanship, attention to detail and offering customers a wide range of modern sliding door designs using glass, mirror, timber and other decorative materials.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing quality work and wants to be part of a small, respected local business.

This position will commence on a casual basis, with the opportunity to move into a full-time role for the right applicant.

About the Role

This is a varied role with approximately:

• 50% workshop fabrication
• 50% on-site installation

Your work may include:

• Manufacturing sliding doors and wardrobe components
• Timber machining
• Installing wardrobes, sliding doors and Elfa shelving systems
• General carpentry and fitting work
• Loading and unloading materials
• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop
• Delivering outstanding workmanship and customer service

No two days are the same.

About You

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

• Cabinet making
• Wardrobe fabrication
• Shopfitting
• Carpentry
• Joinery
• General construction or trade work

If you have the right attitude and work ethic, we’ll provide training on our products and installation systems.

Essential Requirements

• Current manual driver’s licence
• White Card
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Reliable and punctual
• Excellent attention to detail
• Pride in producing quality work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability

Desirable

• Forklift experience
• Experience using woodworking machinery and power tools
• Timber machining experience
