Disability Support Worker (Casual)

EIH Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable and confident Disability Support Worker to join our team supporting a participant with high physical support needs.

This role is suited to an experienced support worker who is confident providing hands-on personal care, manual handling and hoisting, while maintaining the participant’s dignity, safety and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing full personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing, grooming and continence support
• Confidently performing hoisting and transfers using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Following individual care plans, manual handling plans and workplace procedures
• Maintaining the participant’s dignity, privacy, choice and independence at all times
• Monitoring and reporting changes in the participant’s wellbeing
• Completing required documentation and shift notes accurately
• Working collaboratively with the participant, family, care team and other support professionals

Job Details:

• Qualification Requirement: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services.
• At least 2 years experience in disability support work
• Hoisting and manual handling competency (essential)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Skills : Leadership, Communication, Proactive
• Expected Hours: 16-32hrs per week, with flexibility and additional hours as needed.
• Required Licenses/Certifications: Full Driving Licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening, Police Check, First Aid and CPR
• Work Authorization: Australia (Required)

Pay: $39.15 – $45.28 per hour
