About us
Temple Christian College is a Year 7 to 12 Christian co-educational school operating over three campuses in metropolitan Adelaide. We encourage each student in the development of their Christian character and calling. Acting as an extension of the home and the Christian church, our passion is to provide a safe and encouraging Christian community to prepare our students for their life beyond the classroom.
About the role
As a Student Mentor, you will:
Build trusted mentoring relationships with secondary students through individual and group support
Assist students to overcome challenges and engage positively with College life
Work collaboratively with families, teachers and wellbeing staff to support student wellbeing
Identify student needs and implement creative and practical support strategies
Provide Christian guidance and encouragement consistent with the values of the College
Attend camps and excursions as required to strengthen relationships with students

The successful applicant will:
Be a committed Christian active in church fellowship
Have (or be willing to obtain)
a current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect - EC (RRHAN-EC)
Be residing in and have entitlements to work in South Australia
Have a willingness to undertaken mandatory child safe training
Be able to work with students to facilitate positive learning outcomes
Work cooperatively with both staff and students in a team environment
Christian counselling qualifications will be beneficial
