Expression of Interest | Full Time | Industrial Maintenance | Food Processing

VPLACE is inviting expressions of interest from qualified Mechanical Fitters for full time opportunities within a growing food processing operation in Griffith, NSW.

We are looking for people with strong hands on mechanical maintenance experience who are confident around industrial machinery, can fault find, respond to breakdowns and carry out preventative maintenance.

Experience in food manufacturing, poultry, meat processing or FMCG will be highly regarded, but it is not essential. Strong transferable experience from other industrial environments will also be considered.

The Opportunity

The opportunity will involve:

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Mechanical fault finding, diagnosis and repairs
• Equipment servicing and general maintenance
• Supporting equipment reliability and production uptime
• Identifying recurring issues and helping prevent future breakdowns
• Working independently and alongside maintenance and operations teams
• Maintaining strong safety and quality standards

What We Are Looking For

• Recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
• Strong hands on mechanical maintenance experience
• Confidence fault finding and repairing industrial machinery
• Practical problem solving capability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong safety and quality mindset
• Genuine willingness to work in Griffith, NSW
• Valid Australian working rights

Experience Beyond Food Manufacturing

You do not necessarily need to come from the food industry.

We are interested in Mechanical Fitters with transferable experience from manufacturing, processing, production, packaging, agricultural machinery, fixed plant, mining and other industrial environments.

What matters is your practical capability, the machinery and environments you have worked in and how well that experience can transfer.
