About the role

As Senior Contract Manager, you will be part of Vestas' Project Management team in Onshore (and Offshore) Construction which comprises a team of highly motivated colleagues, primarily responsible for project execution including installation and commissioning of offshore wind turbines. Although this is our primary focus, our team also supports the rest of Vestas' value chain with our knowledge of construction projects. You will manage a team of contracts managers and contract administrators and report to the Regional Head Contract, Cost & Bid Management - APAC region.

Responsibilities
Prepare and develop variation and claim strategies
Develop, review and negotiate variations and cost/time claims
Prepare and develop strategies to respond to claims and variations
Manage securities and insurances along with insurance claims
Drafting/reviewing contractual correspondence
Reviewing payment claim submissions
Develop and review subcontract packages in collaboration with Procurement
Attend project meetings
Drive the lessons learned process to improve Vestas' position on projects under negotiation and to further develop contract administration process and procedures
Manage external consultants when engaged for contractual assistance
Active participation in dispute avoidance/resolution strategies
Qualifications
Minimum degree qualified in technical, legal or financial field
Experience of or qualifications in Contract Law
8+ years of experience managing contracts within construction, preferably including large scale EPC within energy
Wind industry experience
Competencies
You are an independent self-starter who pays high attention to detail and can work in a time-sensitive situation meeting tight deadlines.
You have an accurate and rigid approach to applying contractual mechanisms and procedures, and you have a perceptive approach to problem-solving.
Have previous and extensive contract management and commercial experience and managing teams of specialists
Claims management and project risk management experience
Experience from renewable energy or construction or engineering industries will be highly regarded
Skilled the user of Microsoft Office programs
