Prep & Event Chef

We're looking for a mix of Chefs and Cooks to join our kitchen and events team. You might love leading an event, styling the perfect grazing table, getting stuck into prep or picking up great weekend shifts. Whatever your strength, you care about good food, the details and doing things well.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re building a diverse team of Chefs + Cooks to work across our kitchen and events — from regular weekday prep to weekend event shifts, or a mix of both.
You might be an experienced chef who loves leading an event from set-up through to service, someone who gets a kick out of styling the perfect grazing table, a cook wanting to build your skills, or simply looking for some great weekend event work.
We’re open to different experience levels, strengths and availability — what matters is a love of good food, a strong eye for detail and genuine care in what you do.
 
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
FOOD + EVENT PREP

Prepare our Mediterranean-inspired menus for weddings, private events and brand activations
Work alongside our senior chefs to keep production organised and on track
Bring care to presentation, from individual dishes to large-scale grazing tables
Prepare and pack food ready for events and service

EVENTS + ON-SITE SERVICE

Work at events across Sydney and beyond
Get involved in set-up, plating, live food stations, service and pack-down
Work alongside our FOH and operations teams to deliver seamless events
Senior chefs may lead event execution and teams on-site

KITCHEN STANDARDS

Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workspace
Follow food safety, hygiene and presentation standards
Assist with stock rotation, labelling and storage

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

1–3+ years in commercial kitchens, catering or events
Passion for food, events and hospitality
Strong eye for detail and presentation
Calm and capable in fast-paced environments
Food Safety Certificate desirable
Driver’s Licence an advantage

Reliable, hands-on and a great team player. You care about good food and the details, enjoy variety and are happy to get stuck in wherever needed.
LOCATION
Based from our Redfern prep kitchen, with events across Sydney and beyond.
 
Pay is based on experience.
