Process Engineer

We own and manage farms, factories, and distribution channels, ensuring complete control over the essential aspects of bringing livestock from paddock to plate.
We are currently seeking a Process Engineer who will play a pivotal role in improving manufacturing and processing performance through process optimisation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across The Midfield Group.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Improve and optimise production processes to increase efficiency, throughput, quality, and reduce wasteMonitor and analyse key performance metrics (e.g. output, downtime, yield, OEE) to identify improvement opportunitiesSupport production teams with process troubleshooting and day-to-day operational issuesLead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actionsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving toolsSupport commissioning and optimisation of new equipment and process changesDevelop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and control proceduresWork with Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Projects to improve plant performance and reliabilityEnsure compliance with food safety (HACCP), quality, WHS, and environmental standardsPrepare reports and recommendations to support operational decision-making

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
Degree qualification in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)Experience in a Process Engineer or similar role within manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or industrial environmentsDemonstrated experience in process improvement, problem solving, and operational optimisationStrong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsKnowledge of workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices
