What you’ll be working on

We’re looking for an Account Executive to build and grow our presence within the Federal Government sector, based in our Belconnen office. In this role, you will:

• Build genuine, long-term relationships with new and existing Federal Government clients
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across hardware, IT solutions, security software and managed services
• Partner closely with ASI’s Services and Account teams to design right-sized solutions that meet customer needs
• Prepare proposals, quotes and tender responses that clearly articulate value
• Negotiate with stakeholders to reach outcomes that work for everyone involved
• Keep CRM records accurate and current, and report on progress against targets and customer satisfaction

Essential criteria

• Strong experience in sales as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager or similar role
• Solid understanding of the government market and how our products and services can meet its needs
• Experience with high-level negotiations, developing quotes and designing customer-specific solutions
• Excellent communication skills, with a background in customer support
• Strong time management, planning and stakeholder engagement skills
• A track record of contributing to business development strategy and working towards targets

Desirable criteria

• Experience selling IT solutions such as VMware, cloud, infrastructure, mobile device management (MDM) or mobile devices (Apple, Android, Windows)
• Experience preparing responses to formal tenders or government procurement processes
• Experience identifying new markets and developing growth strategies
