The AODS and Specialist Teams at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications from an Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Social Worker or Clinical Nurse to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The Mental Health Clinician provides high level clinical skills to ensure client-focused evidence-based care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of client care and provides leadership and support to other staff within the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service Division (MHAODSD).
About the Team
The Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team (MIRT) delivers safe, high quality, integrated and evidence driven mental health care. Clinicians provide a responsive, assertive treatment and recovery orientated multidisciplinary service, aimed at improving the quality of life for consumers with complex mental health needs requiring intensive intervention in the community. MIRT assists in facilitating the development or re- engagement with meaningful life roles for consumers, with an explicit belief that people can and do recover from mental illness. Clinicians provide developmentally appropriate, specialist mental health interventions and ongoing assessment for those consumers who require higher intensity treatment and support to recover from mental illness. The team planning, co-ordinate and support a range of internal and external services with consumers and their carer's. Clinicians work with consumers and their networks to develop their sense of self efficacy, personal support systems and live independently to participate fully within their chosen community.
