Site Engineer

About the role

Engi Advisory is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team in Dubbo, NSW. This is a full-time position or Contract position where you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing construction projects on site.

The role is DIDO on a 2 weeks on and 1 week off roster.

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications, timelines, and budgets. This role is essential to our operations and offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the successful delivery of construction projects in the Dubbo region.

Key responsibilities

• Monitoring and coordinating daily site activities to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications

• Conducting site inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship and materials meet required standards

• Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum

• Maintaining accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of any variations or incidents

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and promoting a safe working environment for all personnel on site

• Managing site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment placement, and waste management

• Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns

• Providing regular updates to the project management team on progress, milestones, and any issues requiring escalation

What we're looking for

• A tertiary qualification in civil, structural, or construction engineering, or equivalent professional qualification

• Minimum 2-4 years' experience working as a Site Engineer or in a similar on-site construction role

• Proven experience with site inspection, quality assurance, and construction documentation

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety standards

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders

• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office applications

• A current driving licence and willingness to travel within the Dubbo region as required

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Professional registration or eligibility to register with Engineers Australia (desirable)
