Automotive Technician

About the role

Euro Kustoms is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. Based in Botany, NSW, this role is central to delivering exceptional service to our valued customers. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and safety. Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and diagnostic testing to identify mechanical and some basic electrical faults

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and belt inspections, brakes, suspension repairs, tyre changes & wheel balancing and wheel alignments

• Repair and replace engine components, transmission systems, brake systems, and suspension parts

• Carry out some performance upgrades to a range of European vehicles (training & guidance will be provided)

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex automotive issues using specialised diagnostic tools and equipment

• Execute work to the highest safety and quality standards, adhering to all relevant industry regulations and manufacturer specifications

• Document all work completed, maintaining accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labour hours

• Communicate effectively with repair recommendations, timelines, and costs

• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and a clean

What we're looking for

• A recognised automotive qualification or formal apprenticeship in automotive mechanics or a related automotive trade

• Minimum of 3-5 years' practical experience as an Automotive Technician in a professional workshop or dealership environment

• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and computer-based automotive systems

• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of engine systems, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical systems

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues accurately

• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to customers in a clear, professional manner

• Valid driver's licence and ability to test drive vehicles safely

• A proactive approach to health and safety in the workplace

• Preferred: Experience with European vehicle makes
