Payroll Officer (Full-time)

This is a high-volume Payroll Officer position suited to someone who enjoys working in a face paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as you’ll be dealing with a broad range of employees and managers. About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees across multiple locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for end-to-end weekly payroll processing accurately and within required deadlines

• Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring information is up to date

• Interpreting and applying relevant awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditions

• Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting weekly and monthly while maintaining accurate payroll documentation and records

• Supporting compliance with taxation, superannuation and other payroll obligations

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in payroll processing, ideally within a high-volume environment

• Confident working with awards, penalty rates and different employment conditions

• Discreet and professional when handling confidential employee information

• A strong communicator who can confidently assist employees and managers with payroll queries

• Well organised, proactive and able to work independently

• Comfortable using payroll and HR systems, with strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience within the retail industry, knowledge of the General Retail Industry Award, and experience using Human Force and Sybiz would be highly regarded.
