About the RoleCompact Home Lifts is looking for a Storeperson to join our Melbourne team. Reporting to the Warehouse Lead, you'll manage both inward and outward stock movement while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. You'll be a key link in our supply chain, making sure technicians and installation teams always have what they need, when they need it.
What You'll Be Doing - Managing all stock movements and following through on any discrepancies that arise
- Receiving incoming goods and preparing them for Supply Chain Manager sign-off and processing
- Keeping accurate records of all inwards and outwards inventory movement
- Picking and packing lifts and parts for dispatch within lead times and with a high degree of accuracy
- Unpacking containers as they arrive
- Correctly allocating parts to jobs and having job-specific parts ready ahead of technician requirements
- Picking, labelling and dispatching scheduled service van restocks on time
- Maintaining stock integrity through regular cycle counts
- Following up promptly on overdue or partial supplier deliveries
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and free of obstructions, including rubbish removal and tip runs
- Delivering materials to our sites as required
What We're Looking For - Full manual driver's licence and LF forklift licence
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar stores, driving or yard-based role (or equivalent experience)
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and Road Traffic Regulations, including the Road Management Act, regulations and codes
- A basic ability to notice faults or damage to vehicles
- Knowledge of waste recycling practices
- Basic computer skills for managing and booking out stock (experience with Simpro or similar inventory systems is a plus)
- A customer service mindset, with strong communication and written skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A team player who's willing to pitch in and support others
- A professional, confident manner, with the ability to work well under pressure and adapt positively to change
