Receptionist

About the role

Hills Dental Design is seeking a professional and welcoming Senior Receptionist to join our team in Pennant Hills, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for our patients. As a Receptionist, you will be the face of our practice, managing front-desk operations and ensuring every visitor receives exceptional service. This role is essential to the smooth running of our dental practice and directly contributes to our patients' experience and satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting patients and visitors warmly upon arrival and ensuring they feel welcome

• Managing appointment scheduling and maintaining accurate appointment records using practice management software

• Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls with professionalism and courtesy

• Processing patient registrations and collecting necessary information accurately

• Managing patient invoicing, payments, and processing of insurance claims

• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy legislation and practice protocols

• Coordinating with dental staff to ensure efficient practice operations and patient flow

• Performing general administrative tasks including filing, data entry and correspondence

• Managing the reception area to maintain a clean, organised and professional environment

• Addressing patient enquiries and concerns with empathy and providing information about dental services

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working as a receptionist, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff and external contacts

• Strong organisational and time management abilities with attention to detail

• Proficiency with computers and experience using practice management software or dental appointment systems

• Customer service experience demonstrating patience, empathy and a positive attitude

• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining professional standards

• Ability to multitask and manage busy periods calmly and efficiently

• Knowledge of dental terminology is advantageous but not essential

• A current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) is required
