Creative Content & Marketing Manager

Matthew Ely Jewellery is looking for a highly creative, visually driven and exceptionally organised Content & Marketing Manager (Photographer) to join the team at our Woollahra Workshop & Boutique.

Photography and content creation are at the heart of this role. We’re looking for someone with an exceptional visual eye, genuinely strong photography and editing skills, and the creative ability to produce beautiful content that elevates the Matthew Ely brand.

You’ll help shape our visual direction, from concepting and art directing photoshoots to capturing the daily ‘making of’ moments happening in our workshop. You’ll also be highly organised, hands-on and happy to jump into the practical marketing and boutique administration that comes with working in a busy creative business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Content, Photography & Creative

• Photograph jewellery, our team, events and behind-the-scenes moments

• Regularly capture ‘making of’ and BTS content from our workshop, documenting pieces as they come to life

• Produce and edit professional-quality photography and short-form video

• Concept, plan and art direct campaign, product and lifestyle photoshoots

• Create visual assets for social, email, website and other marketing channels

• Explore emerging creative technology, including AI tools, to enhance creative output

• Assist with window displays and visual merchandising

Content & Marketing Support

• Update website content, products, imagery and landing pages via Shopify

• Own and manage our image and content library, ensuring assets are organised, labelled and easy to find

• Manage and update Google Business Profile and other online channels

• Assist with social content across Instagram and Facebook, including Stories, Reels and grid content

Marketing & Boutique Administration

• Assist with the day-to-day administration behind campaigns, events and marketing activity

• Coordinate printing and production of marketing collateral, merchandise, props, signage and other materials

• Assist with boutique displays, campaign rollouts and other practical marketing requirements

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll have:

• A strong photography portfolio and the ability to shoot professional-quality content

• Excellent photo editing and retouching skills

• Strong content creation and short-form video skills

• A sophisticated visual eye and understanding of composition, lighting, styling, colour and branding

• Strong design skills and experience with relevant creative software

• Strong copywriting and communication skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills

• Confidence learning new platforms, technology and AI tools

You don’t need a jewellery background. What matters is an exceptional eye for detail, strong creative instincts and the ability to stay highly organised while producing genuinely beautiful work.
