- Experience in hospitality, retail or QSR environment
- Experience in a management/supervisor role

Position Summary The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the Oporto store in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. They support and coach store staff, model high levels of customer service and ensure adherence and compliance with Oporto quality and safety standards, systems, tools and processes.

Role Responsibilities and Contributions Your Measures
- Provide leadership and coaching while on shift, determine work requirements and priorities, assign tasks to maximise shift performance and profitability.
- Coach and supervise all team members, determine work requirements and include primary and secondary shift coverage to maximise restaurant performance.
- Manage employee performance in line with company procedures; including reward, counselling and performance appraisals/management.
- Supervise shifts including performing opening and closing shifts, and all daily routines in accordance with Restaurant policy and procedures, checklists and trading hours.
- Assign Team Members to primary and secondary stations; e.g. flow line, packing, drive through, front counter.
- Maintain and control the production of food preparation and cooking for the duration of the shift, ensuring critical standards for holding times, service speed and quality, raw and finished product quality, cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with Oporto Food Handling and Hygiene policies and procedures.
- Assist with the implementation of Spice Master training including managing and monitoring completion of mandatory online training in accordance with the Brand Learning Pathway for the role.
- Provide efficient and friendly service to all customers, visitors and contractors and frequently engage with customers to measure and improve their dining experience.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints with the aim of achieving 100% customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all administration is correctly carried out in accordance with policy and procedures, use and complete all reports required during each shift; the ordering of stock, food handling, operating POS, cash handling, banking and rostering of team members.
- Ensure product recall and withdrawal from sale procedures are carried out promptly and efficiently.
- Complete credit processing forms as required and liaise with suppliers to resolve short supply issues.
- Record and register supplier complaints (eg, delivery of out of date product / bad batches), using the online feedback channels and communicate incidents to Craveable Brands using established communication channels online.
- Ensure Catering is being delivered to company guidelines whilst on shift.
- Maximise profit by minimising waste, ensuring waste is recorded, and ensure all discounts are given within policy and procedures guidelines on each and every shift. - Conduct stock takes weekly.
- Control labour, waste, cash and yields while managing shifts.
- Oversee the ordering, receiving and storage of all stock in line with restaurant policies and procedures, ensuring minimal wastage and all inter restaurant transfers are completed to company policy and guidelines.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for all Team Members, customers, visitors and contractors.
- Any other duties as requested from time to time.
