Job description:

We're looking for a Senior Environmental Approvals Advisor to join our HSE team in Perth on a 3-year fixed-term contract.

This is an opportunity to contribute to nationally significant CCS projects that support Australia's energy transition. You'll lead environmental approvals activities, work directly with regulators and project teams, and help deliver key milestones for INPEX's growing low-carbon portfolio.

About the team:

You'll join a collaborative and highly experienced environmental approvals team responsible for supporting some of INPEX Australia's most important growth projects. The team works closely with project, legal, corporate affairs and environmental specialists to deliver high-quality approval outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver environmental approvals aligned to project schedules.
• Develop approval strategies, applications and supporting documentation.
• Build productive relationships with Commonwealth and Northern Territory regulators.
• Partner with project teams to identify approval requirements and risks.
• Provide advice on environmental legislation and regulatory obligations.
• Manage consultants and specialist contractors supporting approvals activities.
• Monitor approval progress, budgets and key milestones.
• Contribute to long-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & experience:

You could be a great fit for this role if you have:

A qualification in environmental science, environmental management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Experience with environmental approvals, regulatory processes or environmental planning.
• An understanding of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Effective communication, problem-solving and project coordination capabilities.

Helpful for success in this role:

• Familiarity with the EPBC Act, OPGGS Act or similar approval frameworks.
• Experience supporting major projects in regulated industries.
• Experience working with regulators, consultants or project teams.
• An interest in CCS and Australia's energy transition.
