About the role
Are you an experienced Social Worker or Allied Health professional who wants to provide meaningful, person-led mental health support?
Join the multidisciplinary team at the Redcliffe Medicare Mental Health Centre and help create a safe, welcoming place for people experiencing mental health concerns and complex life circumstances. You will have the opportunity to provide practical and therapeutic support that strengthens recovery, independence and connection with community.
As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will work alongside individuals to understand their needs, strengths and recovery goals. Your work will include comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, recovery planning, practical psychosocial support, service navigation and therapeutic group programs.
You will support people who may be experiencing emotional distress, suicidal ideation, mental health challenges and complex circumstances involving housing, family violence, substance use, employment or physical health.
No two days will be the same. You may be:
The Centre provides services across extended hours, and some Saturday work will be required.
You are a thoughtful and compassionate practitioner who can build trust with people experiencing difficult or uncertain circumstances. You bring a clear framework for practice and can balance professional assessment with warm, respectful and practical support.
To be successful, you will have:
Experience using outcome measurement tools such as K10+, RAS-DS or CANSAS, or supporting therapeutic and psychosocial groups, will be highly regarded.
