Sheet metal worker/ Fabricator

We are currently seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Sheet Metal/fabricator worker to join our Delivery Department, where you'll play a key role in preparing and customising some of the best trucks on the market. 

About the Role 

Working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabrication and fit-out work on new trucks prior to delivery. This is an engaging, hands-on role that offers diverse work and the opportunity to develop your skills across a range of tasks.

Key Responsibilities 

• Repair, manufacture and modify truck and trailer components, including chassis, suspensions, stainless steel panels and brackets 
• Fabricate and install custom accessories and equipment 
• Assist with vehicle fit-outs, including cab accessories, bumper bars, fridges, microwaves, toolboxes and more 
• Ensure all customer-requested accessories are fitted to a high standard and completed on time 
• Work collaboratively with fitters, painters, auto electricians and other workshop team members 
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and workmanship 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• Trade qualifications in Metal Fabrication, Welding, Body Building or a related trade 
• TIG and MIG welding (Aluminum, stainless and mild steel) 
• Experience within transport engineering, heavy vehicles or a similar industry 
• A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship 
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work 
• Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines 
• Current Driver’s Licence
