About Milestones Educational Therapy and Wellbeing: 

Our team of Educators use a strengths-based, neuro-affirming model to work with children and families. We support and strive for increased sense of success and confidence and maximum access to learning. We work with 1:1 with children in weekly sessions and provide individualised connection where needed to a child’s educators, parents and team.

We are looking for an educator who is an excellent responder to children and young people. They need to be energetic and enthusiastic, have exceptional communication skills and share our passion for helping children and families. This person needs to have experience in working with children using neuro-affirming practices and it is preferable that they have experience in working with children and young people in a 1:1 structure (counselling, mentoring or coaching background).

This person will be joining a small, collaborative, and dynamic team of educators, providing ‘wrap around care’ to clients by working 1:1 with children and young people and connecting this work to parents and school educators. 1:1 sessions involve high levels of skill in play, facilitation of sensory and emotional regulation, fun, and foundational areas of learning necessary for successful classroom based learning. 

This role would begin at around 12 hours a week and be likely to grow throughout 2026-27.

Qualifications: 

A degree in teaching

Highly desired additional degrees:

Developmental Education

Special Education

Counselling

Social work

Wellbeing and/or positive psychology

Experience: 

Experience working with diverse learners is essential
