$32–$36/hr + super | DOUBLE TIME on every hour of overtime | Acacia Ridge | Day shift | Full-time, permanent

Every hour of overtime is paid at double time. Not time and a half for the first two hours. Double time, from the first hour, every time.

That is not a sign-on offer that disappears after probation. Every production employee at QMW is on it. Ask anyone who works here.

That means $1,650 to $1,900 a week is normal here. Paid weekly. Home every night. No FIFO, no camps, no driving to Emerald.

What we build
QMW Industries has been manufacturing certified operator safety structures in Acacia Ridge since 1984. ROPS and FOPS structures, operator cabins, water tankers and service modules for the biggest mining operations in Queensland.

When a 200-tonne haul truck rolls over, the structure around the operator is the thing that decides whether they walk away. We build that structure. It is certified, it is tested, and it gets done properly or it doesn't leave the yard.

What you'll do

• Assist boilermakers and fabricators — cutting, grinding, weld prep, fit-up

• Move steel and finished product with forklift and overhead crane

• Keep the yard, plant and consumables organised and under control

• Load and unload trucks, general yard and workshop duties

• Learn. Properly. From tradesmen who've been doing this for twenty years.

What you need

• Reliability. Show up, on time, every day. That's the whole test.

• Physically fit — this is real work in a real workshop

• Willingness to take direction and put a hand up when you don't know something

• Driver's licence

• LF forklift licence

Nice to have, not essential: dogging or basic rigging, EWP, previous workshop or trades background.

What we'll do for you

• Double time on all overtime — standard for every production employee at QMW, not a probation-period offer

• Support toward dogging and EWP tickets considered on a case-by-case basis

• Formal review at 3 and 6 months with a clear path to a higher classification and a higher rate

• All PPE supplied. Air-conditioned crib room. Clean, organised, ISO 9001-certified workshop.
