Your day-to-day
You’ll be on the road working across Brisbane/SEQ, independently and in a team completing a mix of scheduled servicing, reactive breakdown work and new installations —Work independently with support from the office team.
You’ll be hands-on with:
Servicing and preventative maintenance on rapid roll doors, roller shutters, automatic doors, traffic doors and sectional doors
Breakdown response, fault-finding and repairs (electrical and mechanical), getting sites back online safely and quickly
Installs, upgrades, commissioning and testing, including final checks to ensure smooth operation and compliance
Customer communication on-site—explaining the issue, what you’ve fixed, and any recommended next steps
Job reporting and documentation, including clear notes, photos (where required) and close-out details
After-hours call-out roster optional participation
About you
You’re a self-motivated technician who takes pride in clean work and customer outcomes, with:
Electrical qualification (Restricted or Fully Qualified) – highly regarded
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
Current driver’s licence (Forklift and EWP/EPV tickets advantageous)
A strong safety mindset and reliable work ethic
Confident communication with customers and internal teams
Ability to work autonomously and manage your run
Experience with automation/control wiring or door controllers is an advantage
If you’ve worked in carpentry, fitter and turner, fitting/maintenance, appliance repair, garage doors, gate automation, lifts, forklifts, conveyors, HVAC or security systems, your skills may transfer well into this role.
