We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team at degani Camden on a full time basis. Located in Camden NSW 2570, this role is central to delivering exceptional customer experiences through expertly crafted beverages and beautifully prepared acai bowls. You will be working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where your skills and enthusiasm directly contribute to our reputation for excellence. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves hospitality and wants to be part of a dynamic team.

Monday - Friday

7am-4pm

Daytime hours available

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based coffees, specialty beverages, and other drinks to exacting standards

2. Creating visually appealing and nutritious acai bowls with precision and consistency

3. Operating espresso machines, blenders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently

4. Taking customer orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service

5. Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and organised workspace, including equipment cleaning and maintenance

6. Working collaboratively with team members during peak service periods

7. Processing payments and managing the till accurately

8. Suggesting menu items to customers and responding to special requests professionally

9. Restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels

What we're looking for

1. Barista certification or formal training in coffee preparation (or willingness to obtain certification)

2. Experience preparing acai bowls or similar food items in a café or hospitality setting

3. Knowledge of espresso techniques, milk frothing, and coffee extraction principles

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service

5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

6. Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude

7. Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

8. Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge

9. Previous café or hospitality experience is highly desirable

10. Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends if required
