Female Complex Support Workers - NDIS

About the role

Soteria is seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. In this casual role, you will be responsible for assisting clients with a range of daily living activities in a 24-7 SIL home setting.

What you'll be doing

• Providing personalised support and assistance with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks to our complex clients

• Facilitating community access and engagement, including accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and recreational events

• Implementing individual support plans and collaborating with the broader care team to ensure the best outcomes for each client

• Advocating for client needs and preferences, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support the delivery of high-quality care

What we're looking for

• It is an essential requirement that you are both female and experienced in Auslan communication

• Strong English language proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability (highly regarded)

• Demonstrated experience in dysphagia management, or a strong willingness and capability to undertake training and develop competence in this area

• Experience supporting individuals living with dementia (desirable)

• Proven reliability, professionalism, and consistency in attendance and practice

• High-level documentation and report-writing skills aligned with NDIS standards

• The ability and willingness to provide trauma-informed, behaviourally informed support to a participant presenting with complex behaviours

• A current Australian driver's licence and reliable car
