Cleaner and Laundry Assistants

Cumberland View Aged Care are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cleaners and Laundry Assistants to join our team on a part-time basis. The positions offer regular Monday to Friday hours, 8:00am to 2:00pm.

About the Role

The Cleaner and Laundry Assistant will provide high-quality professional cleaning and laundry services to help maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the residence with a focus on maximising safety and minimising health risks for residents, visitors and staff at all times.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Cleaner and Laundry Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Providing a timely and efficient cleaning and laundry service that is responsive to the needs of residents and facility operations.
• Ensuring that the cleaning and laundry service is conducted in a way that is safe to staff and residents and complies with Workplace Health & Safety legislation including safe use of chemicals.
• Ensuring a high standard of customer service when interacting with residents, resident representatives and staff.

About you

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience as a cleaner in an Aged Care Facility preferred
• Demonstrated organisation and time management skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and the safe handling, storage and disposal or chemicals, and use of cleaning equipment
• Good communication skills, including a caring and compassionate manner when interacting with customers and their representatives
• A commitment to the principles of Workplace Health & Safety and ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Ability to build and foster strong working relationships and work well as part of a team.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

• Willingness to obtain valid Police Check
• Australian/New Zealand residency or a valid working visa
• A current Influenza vaccination
