Description of the role: 

We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Business Advisory team. In this role you’ll assist a range of clients across business advisory, compliance and strategic tax services. 

What your day might look like:

• Advising clients on tax strategies and business growth opportunities, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Work closely with Partners to directly manage the firm's client base.
• Collaborating with partners to provide tailored client solutions, mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge.
• Review statutory compliance work including financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT and company secretarial matters
• Lead, coach and develop team members through regular feedback and support
• Review client budgets, cash flow and year-end tax planning requirements

What makes you ‘just right’: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant discipline
• CA/CPA Qualified 
• Minimum 6 years' experience in a public practice firm
• Management and mentoring experience
• Strong client relationship and leadership skills
• Strong technical tax compliance knowledge 
• Excellent communications skills
