Quality Assurance Officer

An exciting and diverse opportunity to work locally with one of Australia’s largest, most technologically advanced processing plants! While experience within Quality Assurance is highly regarded, full training will be provided for the right candidate (no experience necessary).

What is the opportunity?

Join our Quality Assurance team supporting day-to-day compliance with legal and licensing requirements in relation to food safety. This is a diverse role working alongside the front lines of a production environment. Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance management team, your role would be to:

• Conduct quality inspections across livestock, product and processing operations;

• Monitor food safety, hygiene, and quality standards throughout production;

• Collect and test product samples to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements;

• Support and participate in quality audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives;

• Identify quality issues and work closely with production teams to implement solutions;

• Maintain accurate records and quality documentation;

• Assist with product traceability, compliance, and biosecurity requirements;

• Provide guidance and support to team members on quality and food safety best practices; and

• Help ensure our products consistently meet industry, customer, and export standards.

This position will work minimum 38 hours per week across a rotating roster with start times ranging from 3:30am to 9:00pm.

What are we looking for?

This position is open to applications from experienced Quality Assurance professionals as well as individuals looking to commence a career in QA.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety, quality and compliance

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production teams and stakeholders

• Ability to follow procedures, standards, and compliance requirements

• Confidence working both independently and as part of a team

While not essential, certifications including Animal Welfare, AUS-MEAT and relevant qualifications such as Certificate IV in Quality Assurance will be highly regarded.
