The Wellbeing Workforce within the Metropolitan South region is seeking qualified registered psychologists who have a passion to work with students, parents, carers and school communities to join us and be part of this game-changing initiative.
The Senior Advisor Psychology position is based in the Department of Education Metropolitan
South Regional office- Mt Gravatt.
This is a temporary full-time position until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role:
We know that early intervention is key to reducing the impact of mental health problems and mental illness and that schools play an important role in early detection and provision of support. The Student Wellbeing Workforce in Metropolitan South Region is a multidisciplinary team including Guidance Officers - Wellbeing, Psychologists, Social Workers and Youth Workers, working in partnership with schools to support student wellbeing, engagement and mental health through coordinated, guidance-informed practice.
You will work collaboratively with schools and regional teams to enhance practice capability, support complex case coordination, and ensure students are connected to appropriate supports.
The Senior Advisor Psychology provides professional supervision to school-based psychologists across the Metropolitan South region, working as part of the wellbeing workforce. The Senior Advisor Psychology will receive clinical supervision from the Principal Advisor Psychology in Central Office, as well as multidisciplinary peer supervision with colleagues in the region.
In this role, you will provide professional leadership, supervision, and support to multidisciplinary wellbeing staff, strengthening consistent, high-quality responses to student mental health, engagement and wellbeing needs.
