Born of Central Queensland Futura is a privately owned Australian company which operates two large, near-surface coking coal deposits, Wilton and Fairhill, located near Emerald in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. Our assets are shallow, open-cut operations situated in close proximity to operating mines, infrastructure and proven economic resources. The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking experienced Specialist Operators to join our growing team across the Wilton and Fairhill Mine Operations.

This role is suited to highly skilled operators with demonstrated experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders and a range of other heavy mining equipment.  Previous experience in thin-seam open cut coal mining is highly desirable, along with the ability to work safely and efficiently within a small, high-performing team.  Emergency Response Team (ERT) experience or training will be highly regarded.

About You:

·         You will hold current QLD coal operational competencies, along with:

·         Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical;

·         Valid driver's license and proof of right to work in Australia;

·         Must be able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening;

·         Emergency Response Team experience (preferable but not essential);

·         Strong communication skills;

·         Demonstrate experience operating excavators, dozers and loaders is essential;

·         A proven commitment to safe work practices and achieving production targets.
