We currently have one (1) x Permanent, Part-time vacancy (0.6FTE or 45 hrs/fortnight) available for immediate filling.
A Pool will also run for a period of 18 months.

About the role
The role of the Collections Manager (Mammalogy and Ornithology) is to maintain the Mammalogy and Ornithology Collections (mammals and birds) at the WA Museum; it includes facilitating access to the Museum collections through managing loans, supporting visiting researchers, and supervising volunteers and research students.
The role will also include undertaking fieldwork planning and logistics, preparation and accession of specimens, and providing advice to support exhibitions, public programs, research, and enquiries.
About you
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a science background, knowledge of anatomy, and data management skills, who enjoys a challenge and wants to make a difference.

This appointment Pool will be open for a period of 18 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed-term, and part-time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
Applicants found suitable in this Pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies with the WA Museum and the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, and Sport for the duration of the Pool.
