The Opportunity:
Our Sign, Display & Digital department, dedicated to creating impactful visual solutions for our clients is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and enjoy hands-on work in diverse settings, we want to hear from you. We currently have a full-time position available within our friendly and dedicated Sign, Display and Digital team based in Brendale, QLD.
What You'll Be Doing
Reporting directly to the National Service Manager – Equipment & Service – Sign, Display & Digital, your responsibilities will include:
Install, commission, service, maintain and repair a range of digital print, finishing and production equipment.
Install, maintain and troubleshoot CNC Router and Laser Cutter equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and electronic faults on a variety of equipment.
Install, configure and support associated software and workflow solutions.
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
Work collaboratively with the Service Coordinator, OEM partners and vendors to identify and resolve technical issues.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
Complete service documentation accurately and promptly.
Participate in OEM certification programs and ongoing technical training to maintain product knowledge.
You will ideally be someone who has:
Relevant Electrical or Mechanical trade qualifications, or equivalent industry experience.
Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.
Experience installing and servicing wide-format printers, CNC routers, laser cutting equipment or similar industrial machinery.
Basic understanding of electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Knowledge of wide-format printing applications and associated consumables is highly regarded.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective time management and organisational skills.
A customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team.
A current Australian Driver Licence and willingness to travel as required.
Extensive training will be provided to the successful candidate, along with support and guidance in responding to customer enquiries and special requirements.
Experience within the paper, packaging and printing industry would be advantageous.
