Role Description The Gardener role at Amla Services Pty Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Ballarat, VIC. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining gardens and landscaped areas, such as mowing, pruning, weeding, mulching, and general plant care. The Gardener will assist with basic landscape installation and improvements, support garden design implementation, and monitor plant health. The role also involves operating and maintaining gardening tools and machinery, performing irrigation checks and adjustments, and ensuring work areas are clean and safe. The Gardener will work both independently and as part of a team, following scheduled tasks and client requirements.
Qualifications
Strong practical skills in Gardening and Landscape Maintenance, with the ability to care for plants, lawns, and garden beds.Experience or knowledge in Landscaping and Garden Design to support layout changes and aesthetic improvements.Competence in Irrigation setup, monitoring, and minor adjustments to ensure efficient watering of gardens.Ability to safely use and maintain gardening tools and machinery, including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools.Good physical fitness and capacity to perform outdoor manual work in varying weather conditions.Reliable time management, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high service standards.Basic understanding of plant care, soil health, and pest management; formal horticulture training or certificates are an advantage.Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to worksites in and around Ballarat, VIC, as required.
