Key accountabilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with process improvement, automation and data-driven solutions.

What you'll do

• Support Australian tax compliance requirements including income tax, GST and Fringe Benefits Tax obligations.
• Prepare monthly tax calculations and support tax reporting across the global group.
• Review tax disclosures and tax computations within statutory financial statements.
• Assist with withholding tax obligations and foreign tax offset processes.
• Partner with Finance stakeholders to provide practical tax advice and support.
• Contribute to automation, standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leverage technology, analytics and finance systems to improve efficiency and reporting quality.
• Support audits, tax authority requests and governance activities.

Required experience

What you'll bring

• 2+ years' experience in tax compliance within a corporate environment or Big 4 Chartered Accounting firm.
• Sound knowledge of Australian tax legislation.
• Experience with tax effect accounting and tax reporting.
• Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Advanced Excel capability and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset and interest in leveraging technology and automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems.
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Query or workflow automation tools.
• Experience working in a multinational environment.
• Involvement in finance transformation or process improvement initiatives.

We're looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Melbourne-based Finance team. Reporting to the Group Head of Tax, you'll support Australian and global tax compliance and reporting obligations while helping modernize and enhance tax processes across the business.
