Full-Time Registered Nurse/ CNS – Anaesthetics – Chatswood Private Hospital

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Theatre Management Team, you will play a critical role in providing anaesthesia care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position requires a high level of expertise in anaesthetic techniques, patient monitoring, and collaborative care within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• The CNS level includes advanced clinical knowledge, leadership, and support to junior staff.

• Prepare patients for anaesthesia, including physical assessments and reviewing medical histories.

• Provide post-anaesthesia care, including pain management and monitoring their recovery.

• Assist in the development and implementation of anaesthetic care plans.

• Ensure all equipment and supplies are prepared and maintained for anaesthesia procedures.

• Educate patients and their families about anaesthesia procedures and post-operative care.

• Demonstrable knowledge and application of policies and procedures within the anaesthetic domain.

• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

• Commitment to continually engage in Quality Improvement in line with accreditation requirements

Mandatory Criteria:

• Registered Nurse with current Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia registration with AHPRA.

• 5 years’ experience in Anaesthetics with exceptional clinical skills

• Anaesthetic Qualification.

• Excellent verbal and written communication with computer literacy.
