Saw Operator / Aluminium Cutting Technician

Position Summary

The Saw Operator is responsible for accurately cutting aluminium materials to specification by interpreting production drawings and work orders. This role ensures components are prepared safely, efficiently and to a high standard for fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production drawings and cutting lists.

• Measure and cut aluminium materials accurately to specification.

• Operate and maintain aluminium cutting saws safely.

• Inspect cut components to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Label and prepare materials for fabrication.

• Report drawing, material or equipment issues.

• Minimise material waste and maintain production efficiency.

• Keep the work area clean and follow all safety procedures.

• Assist with stock handling and other production tasks as required.

Skills & Experience

• Experience operating aluminium or metal cutting saws preferred.

• Ability to read technical drawings.

• Strong measuring and attention to detail.

• Reliable, organised and safety focused.

• Forklift licence desirable.
