Vice Chairperson – Board Position

Motion by the Ocean Inc. is a small, community-driven charity creating social connection and inclusion through our Cycling Without Age Sorrento, Beach to Bush and Moving Food programs.

We are seeking an **experienced Director to join our Board as Vice Chairperson**. This is a strategic governance position, working alongside the Chair and fellow Directors to help guide the organisation’s future direction, strengthen good governance and support our continued growth and community impact.

We are looking for someone who can bring sound judgement, practical experience and a willingness to contribute to a small, volunteer-driven organisation. The role would suit someone who is passionate about social inclusion, ageing well and strengthening local communities.
Ideal candidates will bring:

* Previous experience as a director or committee member
* Relevant qualifications or experience (e.g., GAICD or similar)
* Ability to contribute to strategic direction and governance oversight
* A commitment to ethical leadership and community impact
* Ability to support a small, volunteer-driven organisation
* Alignment with our mission to create vibrant, connected communities

You’ll be contributing to a charity that has delivered **10,500+ passenger experiences, 5,300+ trishaw rides, and redistributed 104,000 meals to people in need.**
