Human Resources Coordinator

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional seeking a part-time position who enjoys a varied role combining Payroll, People & Culture, and general administrative support.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting employees and managers across the business, while ensuring payroll and HR processes are managed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

This role would suit someone who is organised, approachable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working across a broad range of HR and payroll activities in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll

• Process and manage end-to-end payroll accurately and on time.

• Maintain employee payroll records, including new starters, terminations, salary changes and leave.

• Manage timesheets, leave requests and payroll-related enquiries.

• Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant legislation, company policies and procedures.

• Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations and other payroll administration.

People & Culture

• Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers.

• Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising, shortlisting, interviews and onboarding.

• Prepare employment contracts, letters and other HR documentation.

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

• Coordinate employee inductions and offboarding processes.

• Assist with performance reviews, probation reviews and employee development processes.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures and SOPs.

• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, staff celebrations and workplace events.

• Respond to general employee enquiries and provide administrative support to the People & Culture function.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in an HR, People & Culture or Payroll coordination role.

• Experience processing payroll, preferably using an Australian payroll system.

• A sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR practices.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

• The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A high level of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity.

• Strong Microsoft Office and administration skills.

• Experience using Xero Payroll or similar payroll software will be highly regarded.
