We're offering a structured Training Shift Pathwayfor motivated individuals — whether you're a school leaver, career changer, or simply passionate about starting fresh in healthcare. Age is no barrier — we welcome applicants of all ages and backgrounds.

What You'll Get

Renumeration

Adult trainees (21 years and over):

• $30/hour — Weekday training shifts

• $45/hour — Weekend training shifts

Junior Trainee Pay Rates (17–20 years) — Weekday Ordinary Hours

Age 17

• Full-time / Permanent: $16 per hour

• Casual (incl. 25% loading): $20 per hour

Age 18

• Full-time / Permanent: $22 per hour

• Casual (incl. 25% loading): $27.50 per hour

Age 19

• Full-time / Permanent: $25 per hour

• Casual (incl. 25% loading): $31.25 per hour

Age 20

• Full-time / Permanent: $27 per hour

• Casual (incl. 25% loading): $33.75 per hour

Rates step up each year on your birthday, reaching the full adult rate at 21.

Weekends: penalty rates apply — ordinary hours worked on weekends attract weekend loading on top of your base rate.

Juniors who show up, work hard, and prove themselves chairside will be recognised: strong performers are reviewed for pay progression ahead of schedule, and this training pathway is your fastest route to qualification and the higher rates that come with it. Show us what you've got, and your pay will follow.

⚠️ Please note: Starting rates are as listed above and are not negotiable at entry. Above-award rates are reserved for qualified and experienced dental assistants — if you hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and have 5+ years' experience, please see our separate advertisement for qualified Dental Assistants instead.

Key Dates

• Position start date: 25 August

• First application round closes: 15 August (interviews to follow shortly after)

• Second application round closes: 2 September
