Riverside Hotel – South Brisbane

Riverside Hotel is seeking a Maintenance & Building Services Manager to lead day-to-day building operations across our mid-rise hotel and common property areas in South Brisbane.

This is a practical leadership role — ideal for an experienced operator who can manage workflow, coordinate contractors and maintain building standards, while remaining actively involved in hands-on maintenance.

You will have direct access to senior management and real ownership of the property’s operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Building Operations

• Oversee daily maintenance across guest rooms, plant and common areas

• Ensure high presentation standards and rapid response to maintenance requests

• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and asset upkeep

Team & Contractor Management

• Lead and coordinate a small maintenance team

• Prioritise workflow and allocate daily tasks

• Engage and supervise external contractors

• Source and assess trade quotations for minor works

Compliance & Systems

• Ensure WHS compliance and contractor documentation standards

• Manage maintenance requests via MyBos or similar systems

• Monitor stock control and maintenance supplies

Common Property & Projects

• Coordinate common area maintenance within a strata environment

• Liaise professionally with Body Corporate representatives where required

• Support minor capital works and improvement projects

About You

• Proven experience in hotel, strata or building maintenance

• Confident leading a small team while remaining hands-on

• Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills

• Comfortable managing contractors and project scopes

• Solid computer literacy and maintenance system experience

• Clear, professional communicator

• Trade qualification highly regarded
