Civil Construction Plant Operators

About the role

Hutchinson Civil is seeking experienced and motivated Civil Construction Plant Operators to join our growing team across NSW and Victoria. We are looking for operators with experience on a range of civil construction machinery who take pride in producing high-quality work, can operate safely and efficiently, and are capable of working both independently and as part of a professional construction crew. Our projects include subdivisions, road construction, bulk earthworks, drainage, renewable energy developments, quarry works and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate plant safely and efficiently across various civil construction projects

• Carry out final trim, bulk earthworks, road construction and drainage works

• Read and work from plans, set-out information and GPS systems

• Complete daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks

• Maintain productivity while meeting quality and safety requirements

• Work closely with supervisors, surveyors and project teams

• Contribute positively to a strong team environment

About you

• Proven experience operating civil construction plant

• Strong understanding of earthworks and civil construction practices

• Final trim experience highly regarded

• GPS machine control experience an advantage

• Ability to work unsupervised and maintain high standards

• Strong commitment to workplace safety

• Current Driver's Licence

• HR, HC or MC Licence advantageous

• Relevant plant tickets and competencies

• Reliable attitude and strong work ethic
