Personal Care Disability Support Worker

An energetic, caring & very trustworthy person is required to join a committed team, to assist 2 brothers who live an active life. They have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, have motorised wheelchairs, use ventilators 24/7 and self-manage their support. They live in their own home in Taigum.

20-30 hours per week. Weekend availability & Weekday afternoons. Occasional Overnight awake shifts

Duties:

• Assist in daily support such as toileting, showering, eating and personal tasks 
• Ensuring all medical equipment is working correctly and safely and maintaining cleanliness 
• Assisting clients with safe transportation and care to enjoy recreational activities 
• Providing physiological support during exercise and stretches • Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable home environment 
• Travelling with clients on holidays to provide physical assistance and overnight care 
• Exercise interpersonal skills with other staff to ensure cohesive problem-solving and collaborative relationships
• Job includes regular shifts and fill ins where required.

This is not a contract job so no ABN is required.
