Centra Health Group is expanding its medicinal cannabis service and is seeking an experienced General Practitioner or Endorsed Nurse Practitioner to join our growing national telehealth team.
This opportunity is ideal for a clinician who values flexibility, clinical independence and competitive remuneration while working entirely from home.
You will conduct secure telehealth consultations with patients seeking assessment and ongoing care relating to medicinal cannabis.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting comprehensive telephone and video consultations
• Reviewing patient histories, current medications and previous treatments
• Assessing patients for medicinal cannabis where clinically appropriate
• Managing initial consultations, follow-up reviews and ongoing treatment plans
• Monitoring treatment effectiveness, adverse effects and clinical outcomes
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Prescribing in accordance with applicable TGA, AHPRA and State or Territory requirements
• Providing flexible availability for scheduled and same-day consultations
• Communicating promptly regarding patient concerns, unsuccessful contact attempts, delays or operational issues
• Working collaboratively with our administration team and healthcare partners while maintaining complete clinical independence
Patients may be referred through Centra Health Group’s pharmacy and healthcare partnerships. However, all treatment and prescribing decisions remain entirely at the discretion of the treating practitioner.
Applicants must have:
• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner or Endorsed Nurse Practitioner
• Current professional indemnity insurance
• Appropriate prescribing authority and competence within their professional scope
• Demonstrated medicinal cannabis prescribing experience
• Familiarity with relevant TGA access pathways and prescribing requirements
• Strong clinical judgement and a commitment to evidence-based care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable internet and the ability to work independently from home
• A professional, organised and responsive approach to patient care
• The ability to keep the team informed of delays, clinical concerns and follow-up requirements
The following experience or availability will be viewed favourably:
• Previous telehealth experience
• Existing Authorised Prescriber approvals, where applicable
• Experience using Halaxy or similar cloud-based practice management software
• Evening or weekend availability
• Availability for prompt same-day consultations
• Experience managing chronic pain, anxiety, sleep concerns, palliative care or other relevant clinical presentations
• Work remotely from anywhere in Australia

• Receive a practitioner-first fee split starting from 60%
• Access higher fee-split opportunities based on experience, availability and volume
