About the role
PTL Equipment Services is a trusted name in commercial kitchen equipment service and maintenance, supporting some of Melbourne's busiest hospitality venues, national franchise groups, aged care providers, and large-scale catering operations.
We're a tight-knit, growing team that values quality workmanship, reliability, and looking after our people.
We're looking for an experienced Service Coordinator to be the link between our customers and our field technicians. You'll be the first voice customers hear when their equipment goes down, and the person who keeps our service operations running smoothly — logging jobs, scheduling technicians, and keeping customers informed from first call to completed job.
This is an office-based role and the operational hub of our business.
Taking incoming service calls from customers and logging jobs accurately
Scheduling and dispatching field technicians to maximise efficiency across Melbourne
Keeping customers updated on job status, ETAs, and completions
Raising purchase orders and following up parts for open jobs
General service administration — job reports, invoicing support, and record keeping
Occasional operational support, such as picking up or sending out parts
Proven experience in a service coordination, scheduling, or customer service role — ideally in trades or field services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, equipment service, or similar)
Experience logging and managing jobs in a field service management system
A confident, professional phone manner — you'll be dealing with busy chefs and site managers who need clear answers
Strong organisation and the ability to juggle competing priorities calmly
Current Australian driver's licence
Experience with Simpro or similar platforms (AroFlo, ServiceM8, Fergus) — full training on our systems provided, so you don't need to know our exact setup
Background in commercial kitchen equipment, catering, or hospitality services
Spare parts, purchasing, or invoicing experience
$75,000 – $85,000 + super, based on experience
A genuine hub role — you'll run the day-to-day service operation, not just answer phones
Ongoing training and support
Stable, long-term role in an established and growing business
Free on-site parking
Established and growing business with a strong industry reputation
Diverse customer base across commercial kitchens and major venues
Small enough that your work is visible, big enough that the work keeps coming
Long-term stability in a secure role
Please include:
Resume outlining your relevant experience
A short note on the field service or job management software you've used
If you're an organised, people-focused coordinator who takes pride in running a tight ship — we want to hear from you.
